...general update

So we are well into uni... week 4, a hole lot of stuff due soon. i can see an oncoming stress attack. what really sucks is that im not motivated for the theory class. i go to do the readings and my eyes litteraly just blurr up and i cant not be bothered reading. it is like i go into this automatic state of a fidgity child who can sit still at a haircut. i like to talk about what we learnt in the lectures and discuss the themes and topics around it but the readings dont sit well with me.

as for tuesday class, my motivation for that is leaving me. i was so excited when i thought that class was for the whole year purely based on photography. now i know its going to finish in 2 weeks i couldn't see how i could develop three themes in that time. i could see maybe a few but i feel i can't show my full potential when working on three themes plus my wednesday class project AND theory class... yep, it is definately comign along. Anyways i think ill put that past me and just enjoy the little time i had with the photography class and embrace the chance to use other mediums in the upcoming year. what makes me feel okay about doing this is when someone said "it will help you become a more well-rounded artist".... (i think i was more excited at the fact i was called an artist than anything else)

I wont discuss wednesday class here as ill put it on my other blog for the wednesday project... the main reason i am doing a blog. i really like the use of a blog, its very contemporary and i feel i can get all my ideas out as quick as my head creates them. i love the instancy. but a visual diary will never die for on the go access, on the spot thoughts, drawings, emotions, feelings and ideas.

My notebook my mother bought me for my 18th birthday.
In here i have mostly my ideas for Tuesday class but it will accomadate ideas and inspiration for the wednesday class too. i can not always have access to a computer or the internet... i cant draw or doodle on a computer either.

It is going to be my little book of ideas, thoughts and feelings.

its so beautiful inside i am scared to write in it... but arn't we all scared of beauty?

... it will soon hold the key to my soul.

...and it starts here

my first post, very exciting!
oh so very exciting :)

so i thought i would use a blog, thanks to the idea from a fellow student (im not going to rain on their parade) to express my research, ideas and development for my wednesday research and tutorial class.
im just getting the hang of all this new way of learning and structure. i still believe it is all way to confusing still but im sure ill get use to it. i just need to find direction... which i am lacking of at the moment. i am use to the confinements of year 12 and working within them. i suppose i liked that, direction is security... but art shouldn't be secure... does that classify me as a non-artist?

which brings me to sharing my favorite quote for the time being:
"I see beauty where non-artists see horror or nothingness"
-this comes from an anonymous comment on the movie, American Beauty which i studied in Year 12. The study of this movie opened up my eyes to many things, and the scary relationship it had to my life.

My mother, a clean fanatic, obsessed with trying to live her life and having comodities that make her feel something- not materialtic i must say but she is into feng-shuai and all that jazz.

anyway i usually write and seem to let my thoughts consume me and it turns into a massive chaotic mess of written down thoughts.

so here to a new start, cheers with champagne and lets hope it is a good one!

what i do on my travel to uni, yes it takes about an hour and a half total each day. something else to get use to!
